Naperville, IL (March, 15th, 2012), Yelp – a social media company is generously supporting Simply Vedic  as  a presenting sponsor for our annual event ‘The Festival of Colors” . The Festival will be held in Central Park- Naperville Downtown on April 7th, 2012 from 11 am to 4pm,

The, festival that breathes joyful atmosphere of social merriment, People bury their hatchets with a warm embrace and throw their worries to the wind. Festival promotes friendship while offering an occasion to forgive and forget. People simply get a kick out of chucking dyed flour at strangers to celebrate the festival of color.

The Festival of colors announces the passing of winter and arrival of spring. It welcomes the spring and celebrates the new energy of the season. Throwing of colors with Rock/traditional music, Ethnic food, and shopping adds to this unique experience. We will supply bags of safe, non stain dry colors for a small donation of $ 2 each. For safety and health reasons, colors from outside are strictly prohibited.

Patrons are welcome to wear comfortable clothing. You are going to get colored up. Please wear old or disposable clothes and footwear to the event. And leave those expensive watches (and sunglasses and jewelry …) back at home

Getting to throw handfuls of brightly colored powder at friends and foes seems too good to be true.  Yes it’s true! Simply Vedic Cultural Society invites all members of the public, from people with understanding of festival to ne’er-do-wells who simply get a kick out of chucking dyed flour at strangers to celebrate the festival of color.

Surtarang Music Competition

In affiliation with Sangam Kala Group, India, Simply Vedic cultural society of Naperville is pleased to introduce “Surtarang” music competition for four age groups. Surtarang Talent Quest to search for talented USA finalists to participate in the All India National Surtarang Concert held in India each year. This will provide talented individuals exposure and a platform and gateway to the Bollywood music industry.

The competition will be held on Saturday July 30th, 2011 at the Central Park- Naperville community concert center 104 E. Benton Ave., Naperville, IL 60540.
Sangam Kala Group has been involved in a continuous search to provide young budding singers a platform for the last 29 years and has to its credit bringing today’s singing stars and celebrities such as Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan, Anand Raj Anand (Music Director), Shivani Kashyap, Penaz Masani, Shreya Ghoshal, Jaspinder Narula, Mohd. Salamat, Gaurav Bangia, Vipin Aneja and others.
